Embodied Awareness: A Journey into Interoception is a somatic wellness-based course designed to help you understand your internal environment and support your nervous system regulation journey. Do you deeply value your wellness, but feel lost, overwhelmed and want to begin to understand what you body is saying to you? Have you ever noticed your body speaking to you—tension, tightness, pain, unexplainable illnesses or even hunger or thirst—but struggled to understand what it was saying? What if I told you that your body has it's own language, and learning to interpret it could help you regulate stress, feel more at ease, and deeply reconnect with yourself? That’s where interoception comes in—it’s the key to unlocking your body’s signals, and I’m excited to share something that will help you begin this journey to embodied awareness with yourself. Interoception is the ability to sense and understand the internal signals your body sends. Think of it as your inner compass, guiding you to recognize when you’re hungry, stressed, or need rest- or further; can indicate changes to your emotional environment. When you’ve experienced trauma, one of the ways our bodies protects itself is by disconnecting; directly impacting your interoceptive ability.  Now, you may think... I had a great childhood. We had everything we needed… Well, did you have emotionally attuned caregivers? Could you express your emotions authentically? Did you have to be ‘good’, ‘quiet’, or ‘small’ to feel safe? Were you told to toughen up, or reminded how much better you have it than them? Did you have to grow up quickly and become emotionally attuned to your parents? Parentifed.  Did you walk around egg shells in the household? Did you ever feel alone as a child?  Were you bullied? Maybe you grew up with addict parents, and it wasn’t safe and you had to be on guard. Maybe you did experience an event or series of events that were too much, too soon & you didn’t have the appropriate care or empathic witness to heal. So you disconnect. Trauma impacts your ability to tune into your body. Your body does this for you to protect you. It’s a coping mechanism and is incredibly adaptive in the moment to protect you from experiencing deeper trauma. When you're unable to notice your inner sensations, it can impact your interoception and ability to tune within.  Yet, without awareness of your emotional state, you struggle to support your nervous system and find true calm. This continues to keep you disconnected you from life, deep embodiment, expression and understanding how your body and nervous system is communicating with you. Today, you feel overwhelmed, anxious, get head aches all the time, tense, in pain in your hips and low back, neck and shoulders. You forget to eat, you’re dehydrated.  You get triggered and you don’t know why. You feel behind. Maybe you have some unexplainable illnesses or things happening with your body. You don’t know how, or why, what the heck is going on. You can’t tune in to your internal environment or nervous system. You don’t know how or where to start. Healthy interoception—the ability to sense what’s happening in our bodies—requires both logic and emotion working together. When you're disconnected from this process, you will get stuck in your mind, leading to rumination, anxiety, tension, or even shutdown. But by connecting your body and mind, you open the door to self-regulation and genuine relief. You're Invited to Embodied Awareness: A Journey to Interoception!  It takes roughly 30 days to develop a habit and 60 days to begin to make changes at a neural level. In 4-weeks you will learn tangible skills to learn to listen to your body’s whispers, before they become screams and experience nervous system resilience. You will receive weekly modules dropped with comprehensive resources, recorded live somatic practices, weekly live Q&A with me, a private community where all the live resources will be uploaded and you have access to this material for a full year.

I am so honoured to walk this path with you.  Since my time in this work, I have recognized a great need.  I see this time and time again, folks who are deeply disconnected from their body. They don't understand their bodies language or they don't have the skills to support this communication between mind-and body, leading to overthinking, overwhelm, physical tension, pain and more.  I recognize this need because I have been there myself. I have been disconnected, but in unexplainable pain. Riddled with anxiety and feeling out of control, completely unaware of what my body was trying to communicate to me.  Using the same skills I'll be sharing with you in this course- I made my journey home; back into my body and into a space of nervous system regulation. Able to listen and interpret my body signals, really for the first time ever.  I created Embodied Awareness: A Journey to Interoception to support you in this journey, to give you the skills and knowledge to empower you to trust your body again. I do this confidently because I've been in your shoes, and I can help you walk this healing journey so you don't have to do it alone.
