Interoception is your body's inner compass.
A core foundation of the EMBODY pillar in The Nourished Soul Method Interoception is how you feel from the inside out. I’m so honoured to walk this path with you. This work isn’t just something I teach — it’s something I’ve lived. It’s been carved into my body, my breath, my healing. And it’s the very reason The Nourished Soul Method was born. There was a time when I felt completely severed from myself. My body didn’t feel like home — it felt like a battlefield. Tense. Numb. On edge. Over-functioning on the outside, while quietly unraveling inside. I lived in cycles of panic, shutdown, shame, and self-abandonment. And I didn’t know I was disconnected… until I started to feel again. Like so many I now support, I tried to think my way into peace. I read the books. I tried the routines. I told myself I should be okay. But my nervous system wasn’t asking for logic — it was asking to be met. Not fixed. Not managed. But felt. That realization was the turning point. Through the practices I now teach — breath, movement, touch, interoception, and deep compassion — I began to build a new relationship with my body. One rooted in presence, not performance. One that let me feel safely. One that reminded me: You’re not broken. You’re protecting. I learned to map my internal states. To notice the whispers before they became screams. To honour the rhythm of my system, instead of overriding it. To meet myself — not with control — but with reverence. And for the first time, I could trust my body. Not just conceptually. But viscerally. Physiologically. Energetically. That’s why I created Embodied Awareness: A Journey Within. Not as a fix. Not as a formula. But as a return. A return to the body’s wisdom.
